BIOS

M J Lallo (Dr. Deanie writer) is the proprietor of M J Productions Recording studio and creator of Dr. Deanie. She is a writer, voiceover artist, voiceover director, composer, singer, teacher, and audio producer with almost 25 years of entertainment industry experience. Her clients include Fox Kids Network, Disney Imagineering, Miramax, Universal Interactive, Harcourt Brace. She has collaborated on two books about voiceover technique including the 2009 Focal Press title Voiceover for Animation (co-written with Jean Ann Wright). She is also the proud voice of Timmy on Dr. Deanie. She’s represented by Coast to Coast Talent Group for Voice Over. Thomas Boyle (Dr. Deanie writer) is a writer and voiceover artist. His career boasts 22 years with the American Radio Theater. He and his partner in crime, Roberta Wilson are the co-founders of “Smugly Absurd.” He is the voice of the Announcer on Dr. Deanie.

Roberta Wilson (Dr. Deanie writer) is Thomas Boyle’s partner in crime with both the American Radio Theater and “Smugly Absurd.” She also gives a uniquely smugly absurd performance as the voice of Dr. Deanie.

Amanda Talbot (Dr. Deanie animator-"Jimmy" is an animator with a stellar 20-year track record working with big networks and studios, such as Disney, Warner Brothers, BBC, and Dreamworks. Her creations appear in Disney’s upcoming film The Frog Princess. Other notable credits include Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Hercules, Home on the Range, Treasure Planet, Mulan, and Tarzan. She is happily married to award-winning animation director Tony Pulham, and the couple raises two talented sons/future animators at this very moment.

Sibb Torres (Dr. Deanie animator-"Timmy") is an animator with a 20 year track record with Disney, and Porchlight Animation.

MJ Productions Dr. Deanie

PREMISE: Dr. Deanie - 60 sec. flash animation that satirizes live radio, or TV call in and advice shows. It's Lisa Simpson meets Dr. Phil. Dr. Deanie, is a nine year old child psychologist, (a graduate of Harvard Medical school), who has her own talk show due to the success of her New York Times best seller, "When Bad Parents Happen To Good Kids". She handles such pressing issues as "How old do I have to be to start piercing?", "Am I a wuss because I like to hang out in the kitchen with my mom?" and "My parents lost their pension-I want to help them find it--what does a pension look like. " Whether it's a child who has a problem with their parent, or an adult who needs help with their child, Dr. Deanie has the answers. Each segment starts with an intro for the Dr. Deanie radio show... (Heeeeeer's Dr. Deanie) and a question from a caller. Dr. Deanie sitting in a chair in her broadcast booth, a stack of her best selling books beside her for reference and a lap top open on the console (for twittering and web browsing). Everything would be adult sized. She might even need a step stool to get into her swivel chair. Each segment cuts to the caller, who may be calling from the bathroom, or standing on a stack of Dr. Deanie books to reach the phone...or making a secret call from the closet. In an 11 minute version of Dr. Deanie the caller's question and answer is the first minute of the show. The rest of the episode entails that same question and answer as it plays out in Dr. Deanie's life.
